Im 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr. entwickelten sie eine Art der Gewanddarstellung, die Kunsthistoriker heute als \u201enasses Gewand\u201c bezeichnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Prinzip besteht darin, einen Stoff darzustellen, der an der Haut zu haften scheint, als w\u00e4re er feucht. Die Falten werden so ausgearbeitet, dass die Formen unter dem Gewand sichtbar bleiben, ohne dass der Stoff selbst verschwindet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diese Technik erm\u00f6glicht es K\u00fcnstlern, Nacktheit und Bekleidung gleichzeitig darzustellen. Obwohl Marmor undurchsichtig und hart ist, entsteht so die Illusion eines leichten, mitunter fast transparent wirkenden Stoffes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Nike von Samothrake: ein bemerkenswertes Beispiel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die ber\u00fchmte Nike von Samothrake, die im Louvre aufbewahrt wird, veranschaulicht die meisterhafte Gestaltung von Drapierungen besonders eindrucksvoll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die zu Beginn des 2. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. entstandene Skulptur stellt die G\u00f6ttin Nike dar, die auf dem Bug eines Schiffes zu landen scheint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ihr Gewand scheint vom Wind an den K\u00f6rper gedr\u00fcckt zu werden und l\u00e4sst die darunterliegenden Formen hervortreten. An anderen Stellen heben sich die Falten und entfalten sich frei. Im 19. Jahrhundert trieben einige Bildhauer die Illusion der Transparenz noch weiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der italienische Bildhauer Raffaele Monti wurde insbesondere f\u00fcr seine Skulpturen verschleierter Frauen bekannt. In Die verschleierte Frau aus dem Jahr 1854 scheint sich der Marmor in einen \u00e4u\u00dferst feinen Stoff zu verwandeln, durch den die Gesichtsz\u00fcge sichtbar werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dabei besteht der Schleier keineswegs aus einem anderen Material: Er ist aus demselben Marmorblock gearbeitet wie das Gesicht, das er bedeckt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Gelingen dieser Illusion beruht auf der Gestaltung des Reliefs. Der Bildhauer muss beim Betrachter den Eindruck erwecken, ein Gesicht durch einen Stoff hindurch zu sehen, obwohl tats\u00e4chlich nur eine einzige Marmoroberfl\u00e4che zu sehen ist.<br><br>Auch wenn diese historischen Beispiele aus Marmor bestehen, ist die Suche nach Transparenz nicht auf dieses Material beschr\u00e4nkt. Bronze bietet andere M\u00f6glichkeiten, insbesondere durch die Patinierung, mit der sich die durch die Modellierung erzeugte Illusion zus\u00e4tzlich verst\u00e4rken l\u00e4sst.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drapierungen in den Skulpturen von Alain Choisnet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In den Skulpturen von Alain Choisnet k\u00f6nnen Drapierungen eine Frau weitgehend umh\u00fcllen oder nur einen Teil ihrer Nacktheit bedecken. Auch die Patinierungen tragen dazu bei, den Stoff von den unbedeckten Partien abzuheben und die Drapierung hervorzuheben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><em>Charlotte<\/em> bietet hierf\u00fcr eine besondere Interpretation. Die Modellierung des Schleiers und die Patinierung erg\u00e4nzen sich und erzeugen den Eindruck von Transparenz.
