Vandaag maken galeries en kunstenaarsateliers deel uit van het oude dorp en zetten ze een traditie voort die door de jaren heen talrijke kunstenaars naar Mougins heeft gebracht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Picasso ontdekte Mougins in de jaren 1930 en koos er later voor om zich er aan het einde van zijn leven te vestigen. Ook Francis Picabia verbleef er. Andere kunstenaars droegen ertoe bij dat het dorp nauw verbonden raakte met artistieke creatie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die traditie leeft vandaag voort. Schilders en beeldhouwers wonen, werken en exposeren nog steeds in Mougins, waar kunst deel blijft uitmaken van het dagelijkse leven.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kunst in het hart van het oude Mougins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dat is waarschijnlijk wat Mougins van veel andere plaatsen onderscheidt: u hoeft er niet naar kunst te zoeken, u komt haar vanzelf tegen wanneer u door het dorp wandelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Een wandeling door de straatjes kan u van een galerie naar een kunstenaarsatelier en vervolgens naar een tijdelijke tentoonstelling brengen. Schilderkunst, beeldhouwkunst en fotografie ontdekt u er tussen de oude huizen, pleinen en doorgangen van het historische centrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sommige kunstenaars hebben zich er permanent gevestigd. Dat geldt onder meer voor schilderes Marie Tissot, die al enkele decennia in het hart van het dorp werkt en er haar atelier-galerie heeft in de Rue des Lombards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alain Choisnet en Mougins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:70%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mougins neemt een bijzondere plaats in voor Alain Choisnet, die drie jaar lang een galerie had in het hart van het oude dorp. Hij stelde er zijn sculpturen tentoon en ontmoette er bezoekers uit Frankrijk en andere landen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sindsdien is hij meermaals naar Mougins teruggekeerd om er te exposeren. Le Lavoir, aan de ingang van het oude dorp, heeft zijn sculpturen al meermaals ontvangen.
