Deze wordt vervolgens de referentie voor de volledige oplage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bij de volgende exemplaren probeert de patineur deze referentiepatina zo nauwkeurig mogelijk te reproduceren, rekening houdend met de specifieke reacties van elk brons. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hoe wordt een patina verkregen?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In tegenstelling tot verf is een patina niet gewoon een kleur die op het oppervlak van het brons wordt aangebracht. Ze ontstaat door chemische reacties die rechtstreeks op het metaal worden opgewekt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De patineur verwarmt de sculptuur geleidelijk met een brander en brengt vervolgens verschillende producten aan, meestal met een penseel. De temperatuur van het brons, de samenstelling en concentratie van de oplossingen en het aantal toepassingen kunnen zeer uiteenlopende resultaten opleveren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Er bestaat dan ook geen vaste formule waarmee een patina telkens op exact dezelfde manier kan worden gereproduceerd. Het vakmanschap van de patineur berust grotendeels op ervaring en een grondige kennis van de reacties van het brons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De voorbereiding van het brons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voordat de patina wordt aangebracht, moet het oppervlak zorgvuldig worden voorbereid. Alle sporen die de chemische reacties kunnen be\u00efnvloeden, worden verwijderd zodat op een schoon metaaloppervlak kan worden gewerkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vervolgens kan de sculptuur geleidelijk worden verwarmd. De patineur werkt in opeenvolgende stappen en varieert daarbij de producten, hun concentratie en de temperatuur van het metaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bepaalde zones kunnen meerdere keren worden behandeld om een tint te versterken of juist te verzachten. Door deze geleidelijke werkwijze ontstaan nuances die met een gelijkmatige kleurtoepassing niet mogelijk zouden zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit verklaart ook waarom een met de hand aangebrachte patina lichte verschillen kan vertonen tussen verschillende exemplaren van dezelfde sculptuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was, de laatste stap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wanneer de patina voltooid is, wordt een dunne laag was op het brons aangebracht. Deze beschermt het oppervlak en helpt het uiterlijk te behouden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vervolgens wordt de sculptuur gepolijst.
